The hard player: Dejan Savićević
Born on 15 September 1966 in Titograd – now Podgorica – Dejan Savićević is a Yugoslav attacking midfielder who came through at Budućnost Titograd (131 matches, 36 goals) before establishing himself at Red Star Belgrade (94 matches, 32 goals). It was at AC Milan that he reached his peak, making 143 appearances and scoring 35 goals. He also had a stint at Rapid Vienna (54 matches, 20 goals).
With the Yugoslav national team, he earned 27 caps and scored 10 goals. After his playing career, he became president of the Football Federation of Montenegro, continuing to shape football in his homeland.

Born on 13 February 1979 in Zamora de Hidalgo, Rafael Márquez is the Mexican centre-back who climbed all the way to the top of European football. After breaking through in Mexico, he joined AS Monaco (114 matches, 5 goals) before making the decisive move to FC Barcelona, where he spent seven years, made 244 appearances, scored 13 goals, and collected an extraordinary trophy haul: two Champions League titles, four Spanish league titles, and in 2009, an unprecedented sextuple – Champions League, Liga, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup and Club World Cup.
A historic captain for Mexico, Márquez is one of the very few players to have appeared at five World Cups: 2002, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018, joining an exclusive club alongside Antonio Carbajal, Lothar Matthäus, Gianluigi Buffon, Guillermo Ochoa, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. After Barcelona, he returned to Mexico with Atlas FC (77 matches, 6 goals), a spell at FC León (58 matches, 1 goal) and a second stint at Atlas (57 matches, 1 goal). He has since moved into coaching.
The easy player: Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
Born on 25 September 1955 in Lippstadt, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge – nicknamed “Kalle” – spent the core of his career at Bayern Munich, where he played 422 matches and scored 217 goals, winning the European Cup in 1975 and 1976. Named European Player of the Year in both 1980 and 1981, he became the defining face of German football in that era.
With West Germany, he earned 95 caps and scored 45 goals, won Euro 1980, and captained his side to two World Cup finals – in 1982 and 1986 – without ever lifting the trophy. After Bayern, he moved to Inter Milan (107 matches, 42 goals) and then Servette FC (59 matches, 39 goals) before hanging up his boots.
